+ Info...

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Daath (a common misspelling of DÅÅTH, formerly known as Dirtnap or Dirt Nap) is a six-piece metal band from Atlanta, Georgia. They incorporate many different styles of music such as thrash metal, black metal and death metal among others. Their work is heavily influenced by Da'at and Kabbalah. DÃ…Ã…TH, however, does not identify a direct religious affiliation in its music.

Ovum Intro (3) Tab by Daath

Note : - / 5 - Hits : 177
Ok, I was sitting here trying to figure out the rest of Ovum (I only figured out half of
a few months ago) and all the tabs I've found for it online are waaay off. The tuning
low to high) is CGCFAD. They play so fast it's hard to nail it all down--especially the
muted notes--but at least these few measures are more accurate than the two tabs on
right now.

Since I didn't access this site with the intention of tabbing out the song, I'm not
going to take time to label the parts or listen to see how many times they're played. I hope
experienced enough to understand what each part is. I apologize if that's inconvenient
any of you.

pm = palm mute

D|-----------------------------------|
A|-----------------------------------|
F|.---------------------------------.|
C|.---------------------------------.|
G|--2-----5-----2-----5-----1--------|
C|----0-3---0-3---0-3---0-3---3-0-3--|
pm . . . . . . . . . . .

D|-------------------------------|---------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------|---------------------------------|
F|.-----------------------------.|.-------------------------------.|
C|.-----------------------------.|.-------------------------------.|
G|-2-------1-----2-----3---3-----|-5-------3-----5-----6---6-------|
C|---3-0-3---0-3---0-3---0---0-0-|---3-0-3---0-3---0-3---0---0-0---|
pm . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Hell, it's so hard for me to hear the palm muted parts exactly, that I actually just
the open notes instead of incorporating the third fret the first few times I played this.

D|---------------------------|-------------------------|
A|---------------------------|-------------------------|
F|.-4-4-4-4-----------------.|.-7-7-7-7---------------.|
C|.-------------------------.|.-----------------------.|
G|--2-2-2-2------------------|--5-5-5-5----------------|
C|----------3-5-6-5--0-3-0---|----------6-8-9-8--0-3-0-|
pm . . . . . .

D|---------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------|
F|.--4--7--10-9--7--3-4--7--6--3--6--3--.|
C|.-------------------------------------.|
G|---2--5--8--7--5--1-2--5--4--1--4--1---|
C|---------------------------------------|

And the last part I know:
D|---------------------------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------|
F|.-------------------------------------------------------.|
C|.-------------------------------------------------------.|
G|-----------------2------------------------2-----4--5-4---|
C|--0--5-6-5-0-3-5---5-0-3~~-0--5-6-5-0-3-5---5-0----------|

Like I said, in haste I didn't take time to put the song structure or properly identify
parts, but if you're capable of playing fast metal like this than you're probably
enough to figure this out... maybe even figure out exactly those elusive palm-muted
I'm not so sure about. And even though this isn't all the parts (or harmonies) in the song, at
this is closer to accurate than what I've been seeing....
