Lee Clayton was born October 29, 1942 in Russellville, Alabama. His artistic style is described as rock and country. Clayton began perfecting his musical talents at a very young age. He began playing the guitar and harmonica at the age of 7, and received his first steel guitar at the age of 9. After quitting the Air Force, he moved to Nashville in 1968, where he began his career as a songwriter.
