Nazareth started out as The Shadettes in the late 60s, but later changed their name to Nazareth. The band struggled a bit to get recognition with the first two albums. But producer (and bass guitar player of Deep Purple) Roger Glover was called in to produce the bands third album Razamanaz in 1973. The success was a fact. Nazareth then went on to release a row of now classic Nazareth albums. The most known probably is Hair of the Dog. The US version contained the major hit single Love Hurts, originally written by Boudleaux Bryant and recorded by The Everly Brothers among many.
