ulrike and katharina were in the midst of promoting and touring with the "in a different light" album, when they were offered to take part in a special performance at the theatre Volksbühne am Rosa Luxenburg Platz in Berlin. it was the opening event of the 1993/94 season, and they asked tim lorenz, then only comitted as a session drummer, to come along. they rehearsed two days to work out a repertoire of rainbirds-songs, instrumentals by ulrike and a couple of pieces written exclusively for theatre plays and the group stein.
