There are two artists called IOS, 1) A Dutch band whose name stems from Is Ook Schitterend - hard to translate in English but it would be something like 'It's brilliant too'. 2) A French alternative rock band. 1) IOS was set up in 1996 by a group of friends from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. They play so-called 'Nederpop', which is pop music with Dutch lyrics. The band consisted first of Joost Marsman (Vocals), Rubin Geurts (Drums) Sander Rozeboom (Guitar), Matthijs van Dongen (Guitar), Jasper Bos and Marc van der Voorn (piano).
