Formed as Acid Eyeliner in January 2006, the band became My Future Lies on July 20th, 2008, as they weren't happy with the connotations of the name. Based in Sydney, the band has been touring almost relentlessly since their formation, determined to prove that independent bands can make it in Australia. Within six months of forming, the band released their debut EP "Pennylane" at the The Metro in Sydney, to a crowd of 200. After the release, the band began an epic tour of Australia, with shows in every state and territory except NT.
