Disenchanted and frustrated with the confines of their previous projects, Agalloch began as the creation of John Haughm and Shane Breyer. In early 1996 in Portland, Oregon, USA, songs began to be produced by the duo and, during the summer, Don Anderson was added to the band to further refine the material. These songs would later become the From Which of This Oak demo tape in the autumn of that year.

One thing I never get into is tuning. So I say just tune your guitar to get the sound
need. THIS WON'T sound EXACTLY like you hear it played by Agalloch UNLESS it's done with
amp at the correct settings along with the proper guitar tuning(So ampless
off with saying it doesn't sound like it).
I have only been playing for a few months so bare with me here! I wanted a tab for this
so bad, it's such a beautiful song! Yet it wasn't tabbed by anyone so I did it myself.
This is all up to the verse and this is the work of just one guitar.
