+ Info...

Atomship was a progressive rock band hailing from southern Mississippi. The band members Nathan, Chad and Derek formed a new band called "Atomshipdown". Originally called Watership Down (inspired by the book of the same name), its members include vocalist Joey Culver, guitarist Nathan Slade, and drummer Chad Kent. They changed their band's name upon signing with Wind-Up Records to avoid copyright issues; the name Atomship derives from their former name, as well as that book's author, Richard Adams.

Author: Atomship
Song: Pencil Fight
Album: The Crash of '47

tuning: drop d    (d a d g b e)

this song is very unique and catchy. although i discovered many ways to play it,
i noticed that nathan slade lets it ring so this sounded the most right

b = bend note
x = harmonic

intro/verse
e-------------------------------------|
b-----1-------1-------3------1-1-1b1--|
g---0-------0-------0-----------------|
d---------1-----1-0-----0-------------|
a-3-----3------------------1----------|
d-------------------------------------|

little diddy when joey culver says "its just time"

e----------------------------------|
b---1---1---1---1---1---1---1---1--|
g-0---0---0---0---0---0---0---0----|

chorus

e---------------------------------------------------------------------|
b---------------------------------------------------------------------|
g---------------------------------------------------------------------|
d-5-5--xxxx--13-13--xxxx--3-3--xxxx--8-8--xxxx--1-1--xxxx--3-3--xxxx--|
a-5-5--xxxx--13-13--xxxx--3-3--xxxx--8-8--xxxx--1-1--xxxx--3-3--xxxx--|
d-5-5--xxxx--13-13--xxxx--3-3--xxxx--8-8--xxxx--1-1--xxxx--3-3--xxxx--|

the next part of the chorus is just fretting and muting on 1 while playing various
harmonics so ts a little hard to tab out

second little ditty is the same as the first only after that you play:

e----------------------------------|
b---1---1---1---1---1---1---1---1--|
g----------------------------------|
d-1---1---1---1---1---1---1---1----|
a----------------------------------|
d----------------------------------|

i have still yet to figure out the rest because it gets very tricky,
but hopefully this will help you out until then
