Forming in 2002, Woods of Ypres is a metal band hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Their demo, "Against the Seasons: Cold Winter Songs From the Dead Summer Heat" is an overall considered more of a "black" release than "Pursuit of the Sun & Allure of the Earth", which utilizes a lot of acoustic guitars and clean vocals, and deserves the term "" moreso than the demo. Woods of Ypres' Third album, the 15 track/73 minute trilogy concluding "Woods 3: Deepest Roots & Darkest Blues" was released January 2008.
