Leatherface est groupe de Sunderland en Angleterre formé en 1988 par Frankie Stubbs (guit,voc), Andrew Laing (bat.), Stuart Scooler (bas.) et Richard"Dickie"Hammond (guit). Le groupe a sorti 8 albums sur divers labels (BYO, Roughneck, No Idea, Big Ugly Fish,etc). Le groupe joue un punk rock mélodique et mélancolique influencé au départ par Dag Nasty, The Ruts et The Vibrators mais aussi par la musique rock ( The Police, Nick Cave) et folk ( Bob Dylan).
